Josh Rio takes triple gold at the Fort Lauderdale Open
Our student Josh Rio won lightweight Gi, lightweight No Gi and the No Gi absolute division in one weekend.
Congratulations to Josh Rio, who came home from the Fort Lauderdale Open with three gold medals: lightweight Gi, lightweight No Gi and the No Gi absolute division.
Winning the absolute means beating opponents from every weight class, and doing it on the same weekend as two divisional golds is a serious day of work. It is the result of months of consistent training and a lot of rounds on our mats.
The whole academy is proud of you, Josh. See you on the mats, and on the podium again soon.
